Dr. Clark received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame where he graduated with honors in Social/Cultural and Medical Anthropology. It was there that he began focusing his attention on more traditional systems of medicine and healing. He received a grant to study medicine men and curanderos in Peru and it was there that he began noticing many aspects of Chinese medicine incorporated in the local traditional forms of healing. This sparked an interest to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in greater detail.
After Notre Dame, he applied to Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA where he later received his Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine – a 4-year, year-round Masters program. While in San Diego, Kevin interned as an Acupuncturist with San Diego Cancer Center in Encinitas, CA and was a volunteer acupuncturist at San Diego Hospice and the Institute for Palliative Medicine. He also spent 3 years in his school’s clinic observing and treating patients of his own. He has studied with Richard Tan, Matt Callison, Tan Tan Huang, and Jeffrey Yuen, among other notable acupuncturists in the field.
In 2010 Kevin had the opportunity to go to China and study at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine teaching-hospital. During his internship there he studied clinical applications of Chinese herbs in the Dermatology, Cardiology, and Andrology (Male Reproductive System) departments. After being in acupuncture practice for 6 years, Kevin decide to return to school to complete his Doctoral Degree.
He treats a myriad of conditions including orthopedic and sports Injuries, headache/migraines, fatigue, stress/ anxiety, depression, Female Reproductive Issues (Infertility, PCOS, Endometriosis, Menstrual discomfort, etc), Male Reproductive Issues, digestive Problems (IBS, Colitis, Crohn’s, Nausea/Vomiting, insomnia and side effects of chemotherapy and radiation. In addition, he offers cosmetic Acupuncture including micro & nanoneedling.
